Roberto Mendizabal joined EMC in 2001 as a Senior System Engineer in the Business Continuity Practice. Roberto in his current capacity at EMC as a Global Practice Manager for Microsoft Solutions, continues to collaborate in the global development of Microsoft Application related solutions and provides consulting to key customers. Roberto has extensive experience in the high technology industry since 1986, which encompasses multiple Information Technology subject areas. Initially as a Senior Consultant at EMC, Roberto was responsible for designing, consulting and advising client’s BC/DR solutions in multiple platform environments, spanning various vertical markets. Roberto is experienced with Microsoft Mission Critical Applications environments, but also has a deep understanding of business process coupled with technical knowledge of networking, operating systems, hardware, and software, and his understanding of EMC’s strategic partnerships, alliances, and relationship with Microsoft are skills which can be leveraged to provide our clients with solution vision, product and end to end solutions that best fit business challenges and requirements. Roberto attended Johnson and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. In 1986 he began his career in the Information Technology field at Zayre Corporation in Framingham Massachusetts, as a Network Engineer, mainly with store networking devices. In 1988 he joined Wang Laboratories as an "Information Resource Analyst" at Wang's Corporate headquarters in Lowell Massachusetts. In 1990 he joined Hale and Dorr LLP, a prestigious corporate law firm in Boston, where he became an Information Technology Operations Engineer and later promoted to IT manager overlooking service levels provided by the entire IT department.
