Scott started with Microsoft in 1999 and has spent his entire life at Microsoft dedicated to Exchange. If you've been around a while, you might think - as Ross Smith IV says - that the S in SMTP stands for Scott, because he has particularly specialized in all things Transport. So he's seen X400 and RPC replaced, seen Frontbridge and Sybari become integrated into Exchange, and watched email viruses go from being DoS-style worms to tools of targeting company & user data. In addition to being a something of a subject expert, his current role is in Supportability. There he is looking at Big Data and telling stories that help engineering understand what areas of the product need improvement. Scott enjoys playing keyboard (the other kind), traveling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
