Windows Azure for Software Developers - Understanding Microsoft's Cloud

In this session you will get a broad overview on the capabilities of Windows Azure. First you will learn about the broad spectrum of services offered by the Windows Azure Platform. As a next step we will look closer at some of those services from the developer's perspective so that you get a deeper understanding. We will put special emphasis and focus on Windows Azure Virtual Machines, Windows Azure Web Sites and finally Cloud Services and look at those from two perspectives: how can you use those for moving applications to the cloud and how do these services work under the covers. Also be prepared for some in-depth developer demos. Although most of the demos will be based on .NET you will also learn about using Azure in conjunction with other development tools and platforms.
