Introduction to the Microsoft HoloLens
A lot of companies are running old versions of Microsoft products, which in some cases are out of support. Over the past years, many of them were (or still are) struggling to phase out Windows XP and/or Windows Server 2003. Some are even running each version of a Microsoft product that was ever released. These companies are experiencing a great challenge in bringing their Software Lifecycle Management process under control. How do these companies make the move to the latest and greatest, if they are still running old and unsupported software? What are the operational risks to their business? Often the shift to the Cloud is seen as the answer to solve these issues, because then "Microsoft will take care of the lifecycle management". But how to get there when still running on old and maybe unsupported versions. And what about the client side once moved to the cloud? When for example desktops are running on Windows XP with Office 2003 and Internet Explorer 7, you still have a major challenge consuming the cloud. In this session Yorick Kuijs will explain the predicaments many of our customers have gotten themselves into. He will show, based on real world experiences, how you can prevent yourself from getting into the situation yourself.
