Whether you're a seasoned photographer or looking to do something a little more special with your snaps come take a quick look at some essential software tools from Microsoft you should know about. We start with the consumer focused Windows Live Photo Gallery to view and manage your photos and quickly move onto the more professional Microsoft Pro Photo Tools 2 featuring some great Geotagging functionality. Wanting to do a little more with your photos we explore MSR Autocollage to create some amazing aggregations of your shots. With a little planning we look at how to take an effective panorama and use the Image Composite Editor to stitch into a Multi-MegaPixel photo with some wow factor. We briefly look at the HDView tools and its support for High Dynamic Range Lastly we look at the steps required to create a Photosynth and some top tips to follow to get the best results.
