Building Business Applications In Silverlight

Right click “Save as…”

Is Silverlight ready as a platform for business applications? What can I as a developer do in Silverlight, and where will I face problems? How do I implement the features I need for my application in Silverlight? Why should I use Silverlight when building my business applications? These questions and many more will be answered in this fast paced session, with a particular focus towards developers who are experienced at developing business applications for Windows Forms or for ASP.NET, and are now looking to start targeting Silverlight as a platform for their applications. This will not be another "what is Silverlight and how does it work?" presentation, but a deep dive into the real issues you will face in designing and developing major business applications in Silverlight, and how to overcome them. Topics will include implementing dashboards, reporting/printing, security, deployment, running out-of-browser (OOB), workflow, data communication, and much more.
