Description

Experience has taught that the application of Software Updates to clustered, network load balanced, or other complex systems has classically been a topic of concern with many organizations. With the need for 100% uptime, or a distrust of current management solution, these complex system often require tedious and manual maintenance or in many cases are excluded from maintenance activities all together. With the introduction of System Centre 2012 we now have a solid story when the inevitable question is asked -How do I reliably and gracefully apply software updates to my clustered system while ensuring 100% service uptime? _x000D_ During this session, we will explore how the integration of Configuration Manager and Orchestrator can make the task of applying software updates or service packs to complex systems, an automated, predictable, and stress fee activity. By attending this session you will have the opportunity to explore complete Runbook examples, automation scripts, and end-to-end demonstration of a complex yet automated maintenance cycle. This will be a deep dive session, so be prepared to view script samples and discuss the process at a very technical level. The session goal is to arm you with the knowledge that you need in order to position Configuration Manager and Orchestrator as a flexible maintenance solution able to handle even the most complex system configurations._x000D_
