Managing Unstructured and Semi-Structured Data in SQL Server 2008: Technical Overview

SQL Server 2008 adds a series of new features and improves existing features that simplify the management of unstructured and semi-structured documents and hierarchical information. This presentation will focus on the language level functionality such as the XML additions, large CLR UDTs, sparse columns and hierarchyIDs. Functionality that is covered in other presentations such as Full-Text Search, FileStream and the new geo-spatial support will not be covered.
