SharePoint Ports, Protocols and Proxies: an end-to-end on SharePoint inter-server communication

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server provides an excellent scale-out ability, with large multi-server farms becoming commonplace. But for those configuring, maintaining and debugging these farms, the communication which MOSS uses between its servers is sometimes something of a mystery. This session will unveil the communication channels that are used by MOSS, the debugging tools and methods that can be used to monitor and intercept the communication, and optimization techniques for tweaking the performance and security of a MOSS server farm.
