Securing a Server Using Server Roles in Windows Server 2008

Windows Server 2008 uses a completely new concept of management based on Server Roles. A Server Role is, in a nutshell, the functionality you bought the server for. Under this concept most of the management tools you are familiar with from previous Windows Server operating systems have changed. In this talk, Jesper Johansson will introduce you to Server Roles, show you the tools to manage them and describe how to secure a server based on its role. As an extra bonus, you will learn about the two different ways the term "Role" is used in Windows Server 2008.
