Managing Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 with Windows PowerShell V2
Play Managing Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 with Windows PowerShell V2
This sessions is intended for anyone who has to manage both Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7, but does not have the time, energy, or resources to deploy complex management products such as Microsoft System Center. Learn how the tools you get *with* the operating system allow you to do things like analyse the configuration of multiple servers, manipulate objects in Active Directory such as users and policies, install and configure roles, troubleshoot end user problems, and manage key server roles such as clusters, remote desktop servers, and many more. This is not a session on remote management and PowerShell theory, it is a session of real-world examples and samples that you can start using right away. You don't need to know PowerShell to gain a lot from this session, but by the time you are finished, you will probably have a strong desire to learn PowerShell. As a bonus, this session shows you how you can quickly create graphical tools to simplify some of the most common automation tasks, without any real programming skills needed.
