Description

This session covers the performance implications of using the Microsoft Entity Framework to build SQL Server applications. We look at the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of code generation with the Entity Framework using SQL Profiler, plan cache monitoring and query plans. We cover what the Entity Framework brings to the table when compared to other approaches, such as stored procedures or dynamic SQL. Transact-SQL code generation enhancements in Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 version of the Entity Framework will also be explored.
