Microsoft has been promoting Network Load Balancing (NLB) in an Exchange Server environment for years, but is now recommending using hardware load balancers. This offers lots of opportunities, like the use of multi-role Exchange deployments where the Mailbox, Client Access Server and Hub Transport Server Roles are combined on one machine. But at the same time hardware load balancers will present the Exchange administrator with various different Exchange settings and network scenario’s. In this session Jaap wesselius, a five year Exchange Server MVP will demonstrate what it takes to build a High Available Exchange Server 2010 solution with a Database Availability Group (DAG) in conjunction with a hardware load balancer solution. Learn all about Exchange Server 2010 load balancing requirements, Single Arm and Dual Arm configuration, persistence, affinity and stickiness options for the various Exchange services and Microsoft recommendations.
