Windows 8.1 advances the bold vision set forward with Windows 8. Windows 8 was built for a world that blends our work and personal lives, a world that is on the go and always connected. Windows 8.1 continues this vision and provides you with enhanced enterprise capabilities to bring Windows 8.1 devices and apps into your business. In this keynote, Jon DeVaan, Corporate Vice President, Windows, will discuss a broad set of new features for Windows 8.1. Learn how Windows 8.1 is ready for business, including app development, mobility, BYOD, security, all on the best business tablets and great PCs.

  • Do we have a synopsis on what this second keynote will cover?

  • I guess the only topic that keeps both devs and ops from falling asleep during a joint keynote, would be talking about devops. How do we work together? What are dev people usually doing that annoys ops people and vice versa. THAT would be interesting for a keynote.

  • Klaus EnevoldsenKlaus Enevoldsen Development has never been easier nor more complicated...

It would be great with a pure developer conference or a separate keynote only for developers. I always fall asleep when the keynote speaker goes into details on how many IOPS Azure supports.

  • Klaus makes a good point!

  • Windows always will be the future.

  • I always like the challenge of discussing collaboration. I do feel that there needs to be a closer link and an effort to break down those barriers (for the best interest of all). I'll be happy with anything that's sensible, practical and workable. Look forward to it !

  • It was a very useful overview of what's coming on the client side

  • Good keynote. Very nice demo on dropping the tablet on the fishing tank!
