Enterprise SOA at NZTA - Thomas Erl and the Microsoft technology stack a recipe for success
In NZTA's ISSP from 2012 one of the key themes is that NZTA become a service-oriented enterprise. We believe that the NZTA SOA journey ticks many of the boxes that are of critical interest to businesses today. It has involved: direct business sponsorship and participation by CxOs and business owning GMs, multiple parties, multiple vendors, agile methods, contract-first service design, Azure and AppFabric BUT has not required any new investment in technologies!! We used what was already there in the Microsoft Windows Server technology stack._x000D_ This session tells the "why" and the "how" this journey has progressed from an ambitious pilot to the point where the business can commit to projects that rapidly deliver new customer experiences and products.
