Real-time business intelligence (BI) has become one of the top priorities of big enterprises. The ability of having near real-time access to large amounts of data across heterogeneous data sources is one of the key factors to enable effective business decisions. SQL Server 2008 R2 includes several technologies such as PowerPivot and StreamInsight that facilitate the implementation of real-time BI solutions. This session illustrates a series of real-time BI scenarios powered by the use of Microsoft StreamInsight, PowerPivot and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010.
