This session covers real-life customer deployment scenarios to achieve high availability (99.99+) and disaster recovery (regional and distant),lessons learned,and associated best practices. The content is not merely coverage of available functions and features of Microsoft SQL Server,but based on various customers' practical real-life production deployments where SQL Server is deployed for mission critical Tier-1 systems. Technologies include: Fail-over Clustering,Database Mirroring,and Log Shipping. Learn how customers utilize these technologies to achieve their HA and DR goals,including reduced time for upgrades from SQL Server 2005 to the newer versions,for applying Service Packs,upgrading of SAN and Server Hardware. In addition,there is a panel of knowledgeable customers to interact with and get responses to practical questions.
