TWC: How Security Promotes Trust in the Cloud

The session provides insight into how the Cloud Security Readiness Tool can simplify some of the hard-to-make decisions when moving services to the cloud. This presentation uses the Tool, and through its use of the Cloud Security Alliance’s Cloud Control Matrix looks at key cloud inhibitors and recommendations to better utilize cloud services. The Cloud Security Readiness Tool uses a short survey that seeks information about the maturity level of the customer’s current IT infrastructure and their organization's industry. The Readiness Tool uses this information to provide relevant guidance to help plan cloud adoption and understand business benefits, realize the organization’s cloud potential, and understand relevant control standards and organizations such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 27001), Payment Card Industry (PCI), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), British Standards Institution (BSI), and European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) information assurance framework (IAF).
