Towards a Lightweight Integration Bus
We often see the term and architectural notion "ESB" showing up in customer engagements as well as RFPs. In some cases, we see them showing up in contexts where the goal is scale and availability on-premises as well as in the cloud. On the other hand, we've seen success with customers building their integration on top of a message bus where the integration workload happens at the end points, rather than inside a vendor ESB system. The goal of this talk is to highlight the paradox in using ESBs for large scale apps and to present an alternative in the form of a ‘Lightweight Integration Bus’ which is based on Windows Azure Service Bus.
