The Ever Expanding Roles and Responsibilities of an Exchange Administrator
Over the last five years, there has been a massive evolution in messaging and collaboration technologies. Messaging engineers are becoming increasingly responsible for not only email systems but mobile platforms and collaboration platforms as well. Much of this extra responsibility is self-inflicted as administrators are typically the grassroots innovators. What are teams doing to manage the never ending amount of user requests, performance issues, and service improvements? What can we do to set expectations and justify additional resources? How can we organize for success?
