Windows Server 2012 R2 continues on the path laid out in Windows Server 2012 by taking learnings from our deployments in our massive datacenters and providing them to our customers. In this talk, we describe networking advancements in fundamentals to drive up performance, security, and diagnosability. We showcase network infrastructure enhancements in IPAM and Secure Remote Access to better meet the needs of virtualized, cloud, and enterprise environments, both managed and unmanaged. Finally, we describe how we are advancing the Software Defined Networking (SDN) solution we started in Windows Server 2012 with inbox support for hybrid environments and physical network (TOR) management.
