Join us to learn the new capabilities in Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) 5.0; how it provides customers an integrated platform so that virtual applications behave like locally installed applications, and provides more flexible virtualization options so that IT can virtualize numerous applications that need a high level of interaction. This session also focuses on the process of migrating from App-V 4.6 to App-V 5.0, including co-existence of the App-V 4.6 Client and the App-V 5.0 Client. The process of migrating App-V 4.6 packages to App-V 5.0 includes using the App-V 5.0 Package Converter tool and the process of customizing converted packages to leverage the new App-V 5.0 features.

  • Will this session help those who haven't implemented App-V yet? We would like to integrate application virtualization with our resently implemented VDI (VMware) infrastructure.

  • I too wonder if this session will help those wondering about how to/if we should implement App-V.

  • I'm interested to learn more about having 5.0 in our 4.6 environment. This will be good.
