In future Win 8.1 and Win Phone could include features that today the programmer must write by hand, example: the response of screen to orientation of device?
The default responses are part of the project template, but some to most apps don't want the default response. If you want the default handling, design your app for portrait and landscspe orientation, and it will appear so. The beauty is, if you want to do something special when the device is in in landscape, for example, you can design totally different logic. A good example of something like that on phone is the calculator. It appears as a simple calculator in portrait, but as a more advanced one in landscape.
Where is the session?
@eric:the session was *live* today, it is not available for on-demand viewing yet
One would think that Azure could make the video available for playback so fast that it could be played delayed at any time after it starts, like a DVR. I realize that some of the converted versions might take longer, but the default flash and HTML5 versions should be available like that.
