I was hoping to see the Visual Studio 2917 launch training day video recording as I couldn't get in as the servers were overloaded on the launch day (makes me wonder if Visual Studio launch was running on Azure to automatically scale to handle the request? ;)).

Xamarin University and Books are VS2015 which is very different from VS2017. I see the changeover to Core to simplify but nothing in training enables a neophyte like me to acquire Xamarin in VS2017 as far as I can see. Even the VS2017 training refers back to VS2015 docs.
