How can I tell if a Windows PC has Modern Standby before I purchase it ?
Is it also available on AMD systems or just Intel ?
Is battery life a concern with Modern Standby.
Tbh, it's almost impossible to determine Modern Standby capabilities just by looking at the specs. I know of devices with the newest Intel chipsets in them that don't support modern standby even though the chipset in theory could. So make sure to ask the vendor beforehand. If you can get some screen time on the system, run "powercfg /a" in an elevated prompt. If the system supports Modern Standby, it will say so right at the top of the output. And also whether that Modern Standby is connected or not.
