The ASP.NET MVC framework has been around for quite a while now and it has been constantly gaining popularity ever since. Great session! I would rename it though. I don't consider suggestions such as "use model validation", "use view models" as tips, tricks or gems.

I did enjoy the session but ended up basically skipping parts. I wouldn't consider this an advanced presentation. It"s more of a best practices session.

  • It was a pretty good session. However, some of the earlier "tips" were very basic and I found myself getting bored occasionally due to it.

  • Suggestion to fellow viewers on how to save some minutes. Download high quality WMVs and watch it with VLC at 1.3x speedup. Some presenters talk slower than others Wink

  • Not really level 300, great for starters though.

  • Thanks Shay! It was a great presentation. Is it possible to download the presentation and sample code?

  • Starts off fairly basic, but there are some good tips in there. Straight after watching this talk, I went and followed a great tip by turning on view compilation for my projects! Thanks

  • I've just uploaded the slides and code samples from the session - http://bit.ly/SWZFcX
