I am concerned that this nominee (Harriet Miers) will
not fully support women's issue .. particularly in
terms of abortion and any other issues that may come
up over the next 20 or so years.  I found this link in
    Yahoo:
    http://www.townhall.com/blogs/c-log/J%20Garthwaite/story/2005/10/03/159236.html

Can anyone offer any additional information?

    Thx!!!

Shes not going to make it... not enough support from the right or the left.

Well the obvious Channel 9 connection is that she defended Microsoft back in the mid 90s. Big Smile  There was a class action lawsuit in 1995 stating that the DoubleSpace disk compression in MS-DOS 6.0 was defective.

Her argument was that only the people who had lost data as a result of bugs in DoubleSpace had a right to sue, not everyone who purchased MS-DOS 6.0.  Her argument was upheld; the plaintiffs withdrew the suit.

Harriet Miers is a Republican, and if confirmed will lean to the RIGHT on all issues. Now that's not how a judge is to decide a case, but that's politics.

    Wait, what?

    1. Why is abortion a women's issue?
    2. Why should a women support said issue?

Edit: This post is kinda the same as the one directly above... But none the less the questions raised are valid.
