i like it only as yahoo was the internets first real brand (which google aped) and could run sort of like xbox (with ms in background powering everything)

Yahoo powered by ms vs google powered by OSS

Google only uses OSS on theior servers.  Their search algorithm is not Open Source.  So its not Google powered by OSS.  Microsoft should have bought out Yahoo a long time ago.  I doubt Google would stand by while an aquisition by Microsoft or a merger occurred.  They would complain as much, if not more than the MSN Search bar in IE.

I dont think it was bad when Sun and Microsoft joined sides.  Im a bit disappointed because nothing ever materialized out of that deal.  The only thing I have seen is a mixer where MS bought a bunch of Sun gear.

ps - google will always be a pepsi (pretending to be coke)- until someone  fixes the nets original coke .. yahoo

google are a copy.. a knock off - and they are dead if yahoo reclaims its original search crown.. just depends on who helps them do it

    * an ps ms...  if you dont listen to that vp whos pushing this - at least promote him

re - above - this might be why google is having so much UI troubles. Apart from "simple and plain" aka = yahoo 92 - they dont really have a unifying theme, feel, look ..history!

Well I entered the text and clicked "Post" - It kicked me back to the thread and that was what I saw... The thing did a post on every few seconds.

I'm still curious on how I did this. Is C9 already somehow AJAX enabled? Tongue Out

Yahoo does what Google, and Microsoft are failing at, and its in not just offering technology and different services, but integrating them together well.
