That's absud... The US / UK extradition treaty is completely screwed up, we should drop it with immediate effect.

this has nothing to do with extradition. They were arrested on US soil en-route to Costa Rica.

BetOnSports claimed that in 2004 and 2005, the company took 98 percent of its wagers from customers in the United States.

Enron UK three face trial in US

The European Court of Human Rights has rejected the request to postpone the extradition of the three former bankers from NatWest.

3 Britons in Enron Case Are Told to Remain in U.S.

These guys helped Andrew Fastow hide hundreds of millions of $$ in offshore accounts and they kept over 7 million $$ of the stolen money!

So off they go to the European Court of Human Rights...LOL

How about all the share holders of Enron?

What about them? It was a crime committed in the UK, by UK citizens, against UK companies.

And that's all I'll say, because we all know where this is going to go.

Unfortunatley the US have failed to ratify there end of the new extradition treaty that our parliament ratified  on the grounds that
    1) it was meant for terror suspects
    2) they were led to believe that US ratification was imminent.

In the end the states never ratified there end of the treaty, and now they are using it to extradite bankers.

In other news, the owners of bet on sports have fired the guy who was arrested while carrying out his duties, on the grounds that while locked up he cant carry out his duties. I hope he sues them in to the ground when he is released.

Who on earth told you that? If anything lastminute is the UK's ebay or amazon.

Oh that's right, you just like to try to stir up jingoistic melodrama. My mistake for taking you seriously.

Betfair is much bigger I would say.

Skriker - you have 50 seperate sets of laws in the US - it only takes one stte to have a problem with internet gambling and this can happen.

It does seem odd when you then have las vegas just down the road and a texan trying to build a super casino in the dome.

PS Eagle I notice you still have not retracted your presumption of guilt of the three natwest employees?

I’m not being called as a witness at their trial, but I do know that Andrew Fastow has been convicted of stashing millions upon millions of other people’s money off-shore in one of the biggest crimes of all-time.

I don’t like the idea of off-shore islands offering wealthy people and criminals the opportunity to avoid taxes and jail.

Lastminute serves a small segment of a small segment of a small island market, BetOnSports was taking in Billions from over 50 Markets!

Lastminute was. It's now owned by an American company called Sabre Holdings in an effort to give them a better presence in Europe ... and they are doing good things together apparently. Well I'm basis, I used to work for them and my wife still does.

The UK's most popular site by far is Auntie Beeb News.
