Off-topic is the only topic on C9 these days.....it is personal as I am a real person......

...don't click on that photo as it goes to a video about something new.

Except some of us heard about it weeks ago when someone decided to stick a couple of prefab versions in a MacPro (and it worked).

    Welcome back Paul ..

Mobile Quad-Core isn't even on the Roadmap, don't ever believe anything from engigget, the're not here at IDF.

I'm not sure i'd agree with the statement that "off-topic is the only topic on C9 these days"...it does make for a good line but unfortunately it doesn't fit.

A little less nationalistic around here these days, yes you could say that...Smiley

Who said anything about mobile? The Mac Pro is a workstation.

Unaccountability, when they get something wrong they move-on by changing the subject.

Their audience is mostly adolescent males, but they pitch to advertisers that they've got business influencers.

That would be "La Bamba"... (and it's not a mexican song)

Thanks Eagle, I downloaded your video.

Just a quick few comments if I may.

    1) The quality of the video is very good.

    2) I can't actually hear very much of whats going on

    3) The camera is moving about a little you may wish to use a tripod in future and chose a position in the room where you can get te whole scene in context and chose whether to move in and move out slowly depending on the which area has focus in the room. Chose your focus point when you enter the room and practice the zooming in and out before the session starts so you can setup the frame.

The best thing to do is tie-up with a friend a record from different points in the room, then you can edit them together afterwards.

    I hope these points help.

Thanks for the advice, I'll bring it all up at my next Team meeting....

I did bump into an old friend after I phoned him only to discover he was in the same room.

He was up late the night before getting his video show up on the Web.

Quad-core available in November? Thats a month away!

    8MB cache.

Early part of 2007 they'll hit the server line.

Up to 50% greater performance than Xeon for servers.

    ~ 10GB by 2010?

    Core2-quad > duo-core in desktops in 2007.

    Jeez, the RAM capabilities...

    128MB on Truland Platform,
    256GB on Caneland Platform?

    FSB peaks of 12.8 and 34 GB/s ?

I can't imagine this in desktops, those must be server platforms...

"Game developers have to think differently... move to threaded model..."

    70% faster today's duo-cores, the desktops.

Intel expects to stomp on AMD with this.

Eagle this is not a short video, well done.
