What's a "geek"?

I remember a geeky thing that happened 7 years ago: me and my IT support colleagues were standing around a Star Wars themed pinball machine. One way to get bonus points was answering Star Wars trivia multiple choice questions. One of us was a guy that had a silly amount of Star Wars toys. But I was to one, to their and my own surprise, knew all the answers while the rest could barely answer one.
One question was 'who played Darth Veder' and answered David Prowse before the possible answers came up. I felt so proud Cool

You're lucky that they didn't mean either James Earl Jones, Sebastian Shaw, or Bob Anderson. Tongue Out

The real question is who plays Chad Vader?

Oh, Chad, just when you thought Dath was teh bad guy. Chad can be played only by 100% Pure Evil .

If you are not sure whether you are geek or not, ask yourself just how much you are looking forward to 25th December 2008.  (If you can hardly contain yourself then you are a geek)

    Yeah, I'm drawing a blank. I must not be a geek. =)

Make me a geek. What's happening on the 25th Dec 2008?

Is it another date rollover issue?  Which language/OS/library is it this time?

    Is it C/C++?

I look forward to Christmas every year.

Plus <heresy> I never really got star trek, I didn't think it was that good really. I mean, DS9 was alright, but nothing special. </heresy>

The guy played online games for seven days straight.

I think if we are charitable maybe the title 'extreme geek' applies.
But then again, that probably makes him a nerd.

No, that just makes him stupid.  That's a Darwin Award candidate for you.

Well, you're limiting yourself to technology geeks.

I work with a bread geek (makes own bread, visits internet bread forums, knows all the jargon, even bought flour direct from Italy).

OMG! I'm a geek. I have heard that they do a new movie, but I didn't believe it, with cancelling Enterprise etc.

    The new logo looks awesome.

Well, great to hear we get a new movie Smiley Now I'm excited about the 25th Dec 2008.
