... and it truly is Jaw Dropping!

It kind of brings us right back to this discussion.

Just thinking about the potential is hurting my brain.

it is kind of hard to think of all the internets pictures linking together. maybe they can make a flickr type page that when a picture is submitted, even without tags, it gets processed by a server to try and link it to something in the world. with WM6 able to upload pictures directly to live spaces maybe have it link to that.

Yeah! I think that may have been linked on Slashdot not too recently as well. I first saw Blaise here on Channel9 (it must have been nearly a year ago now!) and I am still EXTREMEMLY impressed by what he and his team have done. The seadragon tech is amazing. Couple that with the phototourism (equally amazing) and I just cant fathom how cool it is. Truly impressed!

I will say this: While I don't like Windows, I do like Microsoft for reasons like this! Even though they didn't actually arch this technology, they certainly have made something of it! I hope to see more of Blaise and his work

The thing I have never like about Microsoft is that when they do something that is sub-zero cool like this they NEVER shout about it when it's away from the core-products. It's always hidden away and you have to go looking for it.

I suppose this comes back to my vision of Microsoft being this massive multi-headed animal and you can't hear what one head is saying because the bigger ones are drowning it out! Geez I would love to have an incite into the internal politics (other then mini) that would be fascinating! Mind you the old clique says never wash your dirty linen in public.
