    God, I'm such a consumer.

I have no use for this, but I ... must ... have ... it

    HP Blackbird 002 Gaming Rig

Glad to see the PC folk coming up with some really excellent designs. If they do a laptop with the same eye to design, then I am buying one.

Why do all PC manufacturers desing PC's as mean, black, metal, grilled monsters?

It's a gaming rig, if they designed it to look like Paris Hilton's makeup box, then serious gamers probably wouldn't buy it.

So-called "serious gamers" don't buy prefabb'd machines from the likes of HP or Dell (Alienware). They build their own.

Pre-fabs are for rich kids who think they're gamers (ask them about their aimbot collection) or for anyone with more money than sense.

The only exception is those Alienware or XPS laptops (which are pretty good), although it's often better just to buy them straight from Clevo (Alienware laptops are just rebadged Clevo models).

Then there are just different levels of 'seriousness'. I know gamers who spend way too much time on this stuff, and they don't build their own kit anymore.

Yeah, but still prefabbed. And I imagine this box was put together with the help of their recently aquired Voodoo team.

... and I still want one!
