Turns out this office has a VLK for Windows and Office, so I could just use my Windows XP VLK CD.
Windows installed fine, the problem now is with Office 2007.
The company has an Office 2007 Volume License, and a valid Office 2007 Enterprise key..
If they had VLKs didn't they have access to the VLK/eopen download site?
Alls well that ends well.
Anyway, I really want to see Microsoft ditch VLK/Retail/OEM/Download key disparities.
Note for the future, if your going to do IT support, always take physical copies of all types of media for all the common apps and OS with you, saved me many times!
If you have an OEM CD (no matter the source and language) and it is an unmodified one, you can always use a legal (so not from a keygen) key to install and activate via Phone.
They'll just ask you for telling them the key.
I thought the most interesting part of this tail was that W3boo doesn't have a single Windows XP Disk of his own.
Londoners had more than 15,000 laptop computers stolen last year....
I wonder where they went?
