Me does Smiley *back from the woods and handling the STIHL*

Am I the only one? Do you love to go into the woods/forest to relax?

I only go into the woods to do embarassing stuff with latex weapons.

    What would that be?

I had to look up what Stihl actually means. I think I would lose an arm or a leg if I were to "handle a Stihl".

I've been logging since the mid 70's, love it.
Something I enjoy doing to unwind.

I stick to Husky 20" saws, in my opinion they are all around better than the Stihl saws.
Besides the feature and weight differences the Husky saws are a nicer color. Big Smile

btw, I once did 35 days in a county jail while lumbering in upper Michigan.

    Bas is into outdoor bondage.

(Well Bas it's less embarassing than Larping)

Cool Smiley I love it also to unwind. It's a balance thing; means when I do a lot with my brain (lot of computer work) I need something to cool it down for a while... after that it makes more fun to go back...

I normally take my mountain bike into the woods and tear down a muddy track at 30MPH terrorising dog walkers and horse riders Smiley

Very relaxing way to forget about work!

Btw. what did you do that they put you into the jail for 35 days? Only because of you lumbering?

    LARPing, apparently.

It's an incredibly sad activity, sadder than D&D since it means you're actually putting effort into being sad. It's on a tie with Second Life for the same sad-o-meter ranking of saddness.

    Hey! I've played D&D!

As for getting away, and relaxing, I sometimes think it would be fun to have a "normal" job in the evenings, or on weekends. I'm an engineer during the day, but I wonder what it would be like to work a gas station, or pizza delivery a couple nights a week. Or maybe a movie-rental store.

Just seems like it would be fun Smiley

I didn't even know that something like "LARPing" exists. Now it makes sense why that dude in the metro wore that outfit and carried around a big hammer...

So obviously then you participate every other weekend; with week days for D&D and not forgetting the morris dancing?

Really, I doubt any of us have room to lecture on what's sad, unless the tongue is firmly in cheek.

That's why my comment was intentionally ambiguous. Tongue Out

Everyone knows there's no rolling dice in LARPing. I mean, bondage.
