Slashdot has been copying Wired news for awhile now. The days when Slashdot actually had new or interesting content are long gone. Usually when I read something there, I have already read it several times from other sources (except for the "Obscure device
xxx running Linux" or "New study shows Linux growing" articles, which are just noise).
Slashdot starting losing relevance when they started cracking down on the trolls with the posting limits and IP bans, etc. Opinions differing from the slashdot groupthink are moderated into oblivion... those people cant post anymore because of their karma...
Slashdot drowns in its own irrelevance.
