Cool visualisation from BBC UK Election Coverage

The BBC is using a very cool 3D visualisation for the election results.
The three sections represent the 3 main parties so you can see the gains/losses across all the party boundaries.
The figures closest to the edge of each section represent the MPs most likely to lose their seats if there is a significant swing.

Should be cool to see the sorts of things we can do with Avalon and web services/rss feeds next time around.
I imagine you could have a 3D Desktop widget updating itself as the results come in.

Anyone vote for the monster-raving-loony-party? (they got 100+ votes!).

If they continue to increase in popularity they could overtake the BNP in a couple of years!

We make fun of the personal attacks, mud slinging,
religious banter and other things which make the
issues the last thing on the election agenda.

Anyway all that 3D stuff is supposed to do is help
people digest who has won what seat and how things
have shifted. It is tracked way closer here so there
are way more results than there are american states (e.g. right
now there are 279/93/34/12 Lab/Con/LD/Other, compare
    that to only 50 states..)
