I like the AMA threads on reddit a lot. Would be really neat if microsoft hosted AMAs of its own. Here is one by a former zynga programmer who gives very frank answers.

How does Zynga make money? The games are played thru a facebook account? In the reddit thread there are a few mentions of people spending money to "buy" animals for their farms in the farmville game. Are games one of the ways that facebook is expected to make a lot of money?

Microsoft employees have done AMAs before. Sometimes it is anonymous and unofficial and some times it is not.

Yeah, you can buy "Farmville Bucks" with real money. Some items can only be bought with real money instead of using points inside the game. Personally, I think that's idiotic.

But Zynga makes most of their money through ads and grabbing your Facebook data. People are so paranoid about privacy issues, but barely read the screen explaining that Farmville will take all of your info before clicking "Accept".

Zynga makes a ton of money too, FarmVille is no joke. Probably made more money than Portal 2.

I would like them to do the AMAs on the MSDN or Channel9 site.  Is the AMA term and/or concept patented by Reddit?

It's been a while since a C9 team member has asked for questions for a future interview.

    True. Thanks for the reminder.
