@Ian2: The graphs certainly point to something changing suddenly in the middle of the 10 weeks it represents. Without knowing the volume of units involved though the graph can't be taken for more than that (there was some change). Maybe the change was a visibility issue in the store, a competitor product appearing in the store, or maybe the report engine has an issue but the underlying data the support folks are seeing doesn't.
Most of the sales represent 99c purchases so volumes are quite low but have been surprisingly consistent (other than during the period in question). However I have a lot of apps in the store so changes cannot be attributed to a competitors' app appearing or a glitch with one particular app.
I have no way of knowing if I am going to receive any income for that month yet, but without questioning things I suspect not?
@Ian2:It definitely looks like something is up. Either a reporting issue or your app has fallen out of the search results.
Can you get your wife, kids or a mate to buy a few apps just to see if the sales show up?
Sales have now started showing up again but with a big gap of around a Month when no sales took place (only refunds). It seems pretty obvious to me that something happened during that time but I am having a hard time getting Microsoft to see that that is the case.
I will update the post to include the detail transactions as this makes the gap in sales appear as plain as day, and anything but normal.
@Ian2: What would help is if you could get some other devs to corroborate your experience with the same stats. In any case good luck to you.
@Ian2: I'll be sure to check out your apps and perhaps throw you a bone to make up for the lost revenue.
