The CoreCLR is the cutting-edge virtual machine at the heart of the .NET in Windows Phone 8. In this session, we'll dive deep under the covers of the .NET runtime engine and discuss some of our key innovations for .NET on Windows Phone 8. Topics will include our compiler in the cloud, WinPRT via .NET, Async and performance improvements.
No doubt Phone 8 sessions will be added after the launch today.
I was hoping there would be some talks around Surface and other MS hardware but it looks to just be totally software focused.
No sessions on Silverlight!
I did a blog post on maximizing you time at BUILD using the session planning tool:
Some interesting sessions there. Look forward to getting the on-demand videos.
Yuck....I see WinJS is a filter for sessions =)
Would be surprised if there wasn't a BUILD 2012 Windows Store app...
Sweet. Now we just need some way to find out what, exactly, is new information since BUILD 11, and what is a repeat. As much as I love watching this stuff I don't really have several days to watch one session after another.
I realize the content is new, but I need to weed out the "getting started with Windows Store apps" content from the "This is stuff that's going to be new to you even if you watched the BUILD 11 sessions" content.
Nice giveaways. 100GB Skydrive, Surface RT, Lumia 920 so far. (I'm 25 minutes or so behind live).
Which means, from what Ballmer said about next years conference size, BUILD 2013 will end up at Staples...and I'll be going...and they won't be handing out anything #sadpanda
