I only get an error saying its not applicable on my machine (tried on two) regular win 8 pro machines with only English installed.. strange..
Mine is currently stuck on "checking compatibility".

Does anybody know what are the implications of installing this preview with respect to how it's going to impact the installation of the eventual RTM version?
Installed it. Minor hiccup in that it replaced my display driver, which reverted it to underscanning my monitor (since I use HDMI), and CCC wouldn't start. Reinstalling the official driver fixed it.
The OOB wizard wanted to force me to tie a Microsoft Account to my admin account (which according to the FAQ will not be the case in the final). Fine, I've got accounts to spare. Then it failed, and allowed me to continue without one anyway. So what's the point of that?
I already hate the "smooth scrolling" that IE11 is doing. It adds a noticeable delay to using the scroll wheel. EDIT: Fortunately, you can turn it off.
For some strange reason, the photos app only shows photos on the PC itself, not on SkyDrive/Facebook/etc. I'm pretty sure it used to be able to do that.
Now this was my kind of keynote. Lots of cool stuff, Azure looks like it's getting very good, and most of all, it seems like they do have a pretty unified story from cloud to desktop to tablet to mobile.
The emphasis on the future of .Net (they even showed a WPF app) was also quite welcome.
