    The warming is mostly natural.

    Live with it.

The cat is out of the bag,..

They just want to kill people,..

In Holland we call that the 'weg met ons' (down with us) mentallity.

If you believe the CO2 hype, sadly this is the only viable solution.

As telling as that video is... there is something even more pathetic... their non-apology apology for it.

Had they come out and said “it was all a parody of the way climate change deniers view us”... then at least then they could have something resembling cover to hide their hatred of human beings (which most environmentalism ultimately boils down to)... instead they doubled down.

That's horrifying, but, the best way to do 10:10 is to dump all my factories in other countries. I am so smart, muhhahaha. Oh wait, crap, it has already been done, my brilliant idea has been stolen.

Leaving WM on 5/2018 if no apps, no dedicated billboards where I drive, no Store name.

    Just put factories in space.

  • Sven Groot

@CreamFilling512: Yeah, because hauling cargo to and from space doesn't have a carbon footprint at all...

  • Maddus Mattus

    @magicalclick:like so?

@Sven: Carbon footprint is a man made concept, it does not exist in real life.

Anyway, I looked up cult on wikipedia, and this is the final ingredient. The green movement is now offically a cult.

    My,.. my,..

    Even Microsoft is promoting the slaughter of children and those that dont agree;

I know it's hip to be green, but don't they read the papers?

The first time ever that I am dissapointed in Microsoft,... (I'm still in denial about Windows ME)

Why is everyone taking this so seriously? It's a joke. A failed joke, sure, but anyone who thinks they were actually advocating killing people who don't agree is a complete idiot.

Not to mention it's rather weak to attack the advertising campaign rather than the actual point they're trying to make.

We cannot complain to China about it's impact if we are making no efforts to reduce our own impact.  Saying 'He did it worse' is no excuse.

Yes, Carbon footprint is as artificial measurement -- but then so is speed, acceleration, pressure, wattage, ... It's a calculated measure which is as good any any other to measure how much impact burning fuel has on the atmosphere.

  • Bas

@Sven Groot: Are you saying you support the vicious murder of sweet innocent children?

Anyway, I looked up "evil n@zi baby eating monster" on Wikipedia and being able to distinguish between an attempt to illustrate a point and the actual advocacy of murder is the final ingredient. Everybody does not agree with the OP in this thread is now officially an evil n@zi baby eating monster.

    Sad

@Dr Herbie:As we all know, there is only one true measurement of reality... perception.

Well (some) rocket fuel is an O2/H2 mix, so it wouldn't have to have a  carbon footprint.

Sure, water vapour can act as a greenhouse gas and you'd have to avoid using any solid fuel stages/kerosene etc. And then there's the small matter of the carbon produced when transporting everything to/from a few centralised launch sites, making the rockets etc. in the first place and all. But none of that matters when it's something as cool as a factory in space Big Smile Tongue Out

  • Maddus Mattus

@Dr Herbie:I think we've had these debates before, but here goes:

Carbon footprint is a construct of the green movement, it measures the amount of guilt and blame they can put on you and ultimately how much you have to pay them for a clean conscience.

Fact of the matter is, they dont know what CO2 does, period. Oh they have theories and simulations, but that's it.

@Dr Herbie:We are making efforts, we have subsidised windmills and solar farms. We've an ETS trading scheme.

You know ETS? It's why British Steel had to close down and Tata (wich owns British Steel aka Corus) started up a new plant in India. They got 1 billion dollars worth of CO2 emissions and 1 billion dollars worth of subsidy to start a new "clean" plant in India. So we basically put a couple of thousands of Brits out of a job and gave them a new free plant!

And you know the guy responsible for the IPCC, is a Tata employee!

    Seriously

  • Dr Herbie

@Maddus Mattus: Corus didn't move to India just for the subsidiary -- the UK's heavy industries have been slowly moving there anyway, the subsidiary just made it happen sooner rather than later.  That's less about climate change and more about the games the big industry play with politics to make more money (India: less health and safety costs + lower wages for employees + large lump-sum from IPCC to pay the the new factory = move now worthwhile).

I agree with you that it's wrong that the IPCC is headed by people with links to big industry - just the same that I don't think politicians should be sitting in company boardrooms. Unfortunately, the world is full of devious f-ers willing to derail any process for a fast buck.  That doesn't mean climate change is not a real problem, it just means that the world if full of devious f-ers.
