If Microsoft released a patch via Windows Update that uninstalled Google Chrome (your laptop runs my OS, b1tches!) or redirected everyone visiting "www.google.com" to a page saying "Google doesn't work anymore, sorry folks, try bing!", Google would (rightly) be livid and would take Microsoft to the cleaners in court.
Google doesn't need to make it easy for their competitors. They don't need to write the app for Windows Phone. They don't need their API to be stable. They don't need to fix their site to run on IE. They just need to play fair.
Targeting one competitor for special negative treatment is classically evil because it punishes the innocent bystanders (i.e. competitor's users) in order to try and score pathetic "points" against the competitor.
