Does anyone have any idea what he is up to? I understand that we can't get official accounts of his work. But, it would cool to start taping shows now, that could be release later, so we could get an idea of how long it takes for a good idea to come to fruition. In the mean time, I guess we will just have to live with whatever felix9 uncovers.
@JoshRoss: Joe will be speaking at YOW! 2012 in November, so you'll get to hear from him then. Plus, I'll ask him for an interview while I'm there
Yes, he's working on a private incubation, so he can't talk about what he's doing publicly...
@Charles: With the understanding that many buildings do not have a 13th floor, and that Office didn't have a version 13. Unless I am mistaken, it seems that the annual YOW! Conference will have two 2012editions, skipping YOW! 2013.
@JoshRoss: I screwed up that post pretty good... Sorry bout that. YOW! 2011 was last year...
And, according to Joe's latest blog post, Krzysztof Cwalina and Adam Nathan are also in the private incubation team now ? hmmm.... adding this to my notebook is this a sign that the TSI and DevDiv getting back on track after the Win8 push ? Ok I'm reading too much again
So what is the big secret. The app store will compile the software for the correct target and you get the binary delivered to you all sanitized and performance optimized to run on your phone/tablet/pc.? Would be nice to have Microsoft do the screening to prevent spyware and viruses and put some sort of confirmation of the software being safe. Also maybe this helps reverse engineering of intemediate code if we only deliver binaries.
@felix9: No conspiracy here... Joe had to cancel due to a scheduling conflict. Nothing more. Just to be clear...
