For kicks I went to a McDonalds in Switzerland earlier this year. After exchange rate, the price of a regular Big Mac meal worked out to about $13 USD. WiFi was only free for 30 minutes or so.
They also had a totally separate McCafe counter, nowhere near the "fast food" portion of the restaurant. It wasn't open at 10am for whatever reason (I'm guessing because Switzerland doesn't have the same "gotta have a coffee to go first thing" culture that North America does).... but the presentation was a lot more like a western coffeehouse, with cheesecakes and other sweets, proper espresso machines, and a totally different design motif from what Americans would be familiar with.
