I don't want to start the upgrade without it as my PC is also my TV...
Supposed to go live sometimes today. My PC is my TV also, for recorded content. Though I ran out of hard drive space. Tough deciding which SpongeBob episodes to delete
The web-site for it is very "odd." You don't even seem to need to confirm you own Windows 8 for it to send you a key, just an e-mail address...
No idea if it is one-time use either or if when you reinstall you can re-use the same key to activate the DVD codec etc.
I do know that it is £7 full price. Which is a lot of money now that the DVD decoder doesn't even work in Media Player.
WMC is included for free for a limited time, right?
Nope, I haven't had mine yet.
Just got mine. #awesomePeopleGetNiceThings
I got my key, 3 hours ago (I've been sleeping).
I took 24 hours, but I got two keys.
Nice feature that I could keep my settings from Windows 7.
Unusual problem with my TV tuner, I have to shut off some of my ram to get it to work, though it worked just fine in Windows 7. I will have to keep experimenting. I have 12GB total ram, currently 7.2GB hardware reserved. Will try a little less reserved.
