Well, as the article said, it is not really saying Nokia is the cause of Apple goes down. But, it is still nice to see Nokia goes up after Lumia 920 comes out. Many people here have 920 and stock goes up, so, I think Nokia is on the right track and so does Windows Phone 8.

I hope they keep up the momentum with agile updates, so, we can dance more often.

The next significant challenge to tinker is the accessories (protective covers, etc).

For iPhone and Samsung phone series, accessories designed for them can be easily found. But when I went to find a case with protective cover for my lumia 920 phone last night, only one shop offers case and cover for Lumia phones and they only got Lumia 800/900, not the newer models.

Even finding cover for brands like LG is much much easier. If anyone from Microsoft Marketing for winphone is here, please do something about this... I don't mind to go to a Nokia Pro shop to buy this...

I DO note that some online shop from China offers Lumia cover and cases, but my previous experience of buying those protective "wrapping" is problematic (they're too small for the model they "claimed" to fit, and the coloring got sticked to the phone itself after it got wet with some raindrops) makes me refrain from testing them again...

I know this is not your main point but you don't need any protective cover or screen protector for the Lumia 920. Have you seen the torture tests done one the Lumia 920 basically showing it comes with all the protection you need already out of the box?

This is my 1st smartphone where I decided not to bother with a case or screen protector.

Sounds oddly familiar like the sour grapes of "WP7 doesn't need multiple cores or high resolution displays."

Stormtrooper: It's hard to find accessories for these Windows Phones.

Jedi: (handwave) You don't need accessories for your Windows Phone.

Stormtrooper: I don't need accessories for my Windows Phone.

At least that's what I figure DBVS is getting at.

@BitFlipper: A protective cover isn't just for "protecting" your phone, it's also about personalizing the phone's appearence. (Looking at those Batman/Spiderman covers)

Remember when sales of Nokia 3210 goes hot 10+ years ago? The product isn't significantly different than other brands in terms of functionality. But being able to replace shell is a major selling point.

And the 30+ shops in a single shopping arcade selling different kinds of "protective covers" and/or replacement shells DO mean this is relevent marketing concern because people DO care how does their phone look like.

@cheong:I saw a schoolbus yellow 920 at an xmas party last night.  It looked like a giant square banana, so I could see the desire to chang it up a bit.

I really wanted one, but until they aren't on AT&T, no dice.

Why would WP7 fanboys have sour grapes over a selling point?

. I know some people would want a hello kitty on their case, but, I am happy with my colorful cyan case.

@magicalclick: Just bought this. Their screen protectors are made of a thick vinyl--the same kind of material used for automotive decals. I have this screen protector on my 800, but since the 800 came with a case, I never had to worry about protecting the back. I figure it's worth the extra 2 bucks to try out this protector for the back before I have to go look for a real case.
