The board is a Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 (It was on offer on my usual e-tailer, I did not specifically choose this one for a reason, but 6 sata ports certainly don't hurt...)
The PSU is being reused from my old server, and is an Antec Earthwatts 650 (I think - will check when I get home)
@jh71283: For the chassis, you might try the Fractal Design Array R2, it's quite nicely designed, has lots of space and is reasonably small for a mini-ITX case
@Ion Todirel: Obviously we can look forward to some treats in Dev11, they must be overworking you there
I got a DreamPlug I currently use as a quazi-home server. It's totally silent, and can run most versions of Linux without problem. Don't use in a Beowulf cluster.
