It looks like on the recently released s3, they've taken the "never twice same color" approach. Whether the green has been sucked out or the way around, who knows, the most ridiculous moment (s3e1) was when Troi first appeared and she looked like a clown on a visit from a circus. Season 1 looked not too far off how I remember the series.

Video? Pictures? It's hard for me to imagine what you're talking about otherwise.

Some of the screenshots do look a little on the red side.

I have the 'Best of Both Worlds' BluRay but not watched it yet.  Was planning on viewing it before Thursday (got tickets for 3D IMAX showing of 'Into Darkness', Huzzah!) but time may be against me .....

My wife and I saw Best of Both Worlds in the theater a few weeks ago. Great experience. We have season 1 on Blu-ray but are waiting for sales to get seasons 2 and 3. The quality is really amazing; some of the episodes look like they were filmed yesterday.

Just wish Best of Both Worlds had the Battle of Wolf 359....had to wait for the DS9 pilot for it Smiley

I'm just waiting for the entire series to come out on BlueRay....don't want to do it in piecemeal...

@Harlequin:Agree that is a cool way to do it.  I salute you.

I just got the sampler disc, with Encounter at Farpoint + Inner Light etc.

Quite impressive to watch, but the looking back the first series seems to have such cardboard cut-out characters, I can't believe how I used to enjoy it so much first time around.

I've actually got the complete TNG on DVD already taking up rather a lot of shelf space, so it would be rather a waste to go for it all over again. Before that I even had The Best Of Both Worlds on VHS, that I got at the Star Trek exhibition at the science museum in 1995!

Interesting how much the latest Dr Who picked up ideas for the Cybermen from the Borg, the 'Upgrade in progess' matches the borgs 'adaptation' and the initial partial stages of assimilation are very similar, (glowing eye implant first, then spreading traces of metal over the forehead), and the new cyber-mites are just like larger versions of the nano-probes.

I am Locutus of Who, resistance is futile, you will be Upgraded

And the re-introduction of the Cybermen via a Mechanical Turk was quite clever.
