Is screaming an essential part of software development? If something doen't irritate you enough to fix / replace it... Heck, I don't know. AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGhhh. Ok, I feel better now.

Forget screaming Josh, what you need is a cheap keyboard. Microsoft keyboards are way too durable. When I smash my fist into a nice inexpensive keyboard, letters should just fly across the room, like some sort of dictionary explosion.

Why would you have to smash your fist into a keyboard, when you could just stare into the spot that the start button used to occupy? It seems like a good place to put something like a clock, or perhaps a little mouse that could sing the national anthem of your country, while simultaneously waving the flag of another.

Screaming is discouraged as it upsets the other patients.

Here is a good argument against tablets. You don't get the same satisfactory crunch when smashing the keyboard.

Since the Start Button will soon no longer dwell in our presence, a proper funeral ought to be commissioned. There should be stories read about it, covering the best and the worst of times, including the final days. In the end, some scriptures shall be read, and then dirt placed atop of its clickzone.

By a strange coincidence I just uploaded this today.

(warning: do not click on the link if you are of a nervous disposition, or indeed, currently in the office)

Ha, my friend who is a sysadmin for a nursing home goes through 2-3 keyboards per month for that very reason.
